Nursery jobs in Greenhithe: join Lily's new team

Lily's Nursery and Daycare is a new day nursery in Greenhithe, Kent, caring for children from six months to five years in three rooms: under twos, two year olds and preschool. We opened on 26 October 2026 and we are building our team. We are hiring for four roles, full-time and part-time, Monday to Friday, on shifts between 7.30am and 6.30pm.

The roles at a glance

• Nursery Manager: full-time, £35,000 to £45,000 a year
• Room Leaders: three posts, one for each room, Level 3 and three years' nursery experience, salary depending on qualifications and experience
• Nursery Practitioners: Level 2 or above, £24,000 to £25,500 a year
• Early Years Apprentices: no experience needed, Level 2 or Level 3 apprenticeship, paid while you train

Nursery Manager

You will lead the nursery day to day: the quality of care and early learning, safeguarding, the team, and our partnership with parents. We are looking for someone with early years leadership experience who wants to shape a new setting from its first months.

Room Leaders

We are recruiting a Room Leader for each of our three rooms.

• Under Twos Room Leader: warm, attachment-based care built around each baby's own routines, from settling and sleep to weaning and first words.
• Two Year Olds Room Leader: language, independence and confidence, including every child's progress check at age two.
• Preschool Room Leader (3 to 5 years): an ambitious curriculum that prepares children for a confident start at school. Early Years Teacher Status or a Level 6 qualification is highly desirable for this post.

Each Room Leader needs a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification and at least three years in a nursery.

Nursery Practitioners

As a key person you will get to know a small group of children and their families, plan play and learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage, and give warm daily handovers to parents. You need a full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification or above; Level 3 is welcome.

Early Years Apprentices

Start a career in early years with no previous experience. You will train on the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship (about 12 months) or the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship (about 18 months) with an approved training provider. You will have a named mentor, paid training time in your working week, and time in all three rooms. You must be 17 or over.
