Full 07:30 to 18:30 day. Funded hours are covered in full; you pay for the hours above them. Funded sessions are 10 hours. If a 10-hour day suits you better, talk to us and we will arrange it. Five days include 7.5% off the whole package.

Questions parents ask

  • Is funded childcare actually free?Your funded hours cost you nothing. You only pay for hours above them, and for Inclusive if you choose it.
  • How many hours do I actually get?30 hours is 1,140 hours a year, meant for school term time. We are open 50 weeks, so we spread them across the whole year: 95 hours a month, 22.8 hours a week, which covers about two 10-hour days a week. 15 hours is 570 a year, 47.5 hours a month, 11.4 hours a week, about one day a week.
  • Why am I still paying with 30 hours?Funding covers up to 10 hours a day, up to your monthly total. Our day is 11 hours, so there is always a little to pay, and once your funded hours for the week are used up, the rest of your days are charged at our normal rate. Every day still costs less than it would without funding.
  • How long is the day?Your day is 07:30 to 18:30, 11 hours, and that is the day every price here is for. Funded sessions are 10 hours; if a 10-hour day suits you better, talk to us and we will arrange it.
  • What is the difference between the two options?Hours only is your childcare hours; you bring everything your child needs for the day: food, nappies, wipes, sun cream. Inclusive means we take care of all of it: a freshly cooked premium menu with every meal and snack of the day, nappies and wipes until preschool, sun cream, and the enrichment and local activities we run. Nothing to pack, nothing to add. Inclusive is £9 a day in the baby and toddler rooms and £7 in preschool.
  • Do I have to choose Inclusive to get a funded place?No. Either option works with funded hours, and choosing Hours only makes no difference to your place.
  • Why is the fee the same every month?We add up the year and split it into 12 equal payments, so a month with a bank holiday costs the same as a month without. Nothing is charged for bank holidays or the Christmas week; that is already built into the figure.
  • When do I pay?Monthly by direct debit, in advance. Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers can be used towards it.

Half days and ad hoc days

A half day is 5.5 hours, morning or afternoon. An ad hoc day is an extra day charged for that day only, when we have space.

What is Inclusive?

Inclusive means your child’s whole day is taken care of. A premium menu, freshly cooked here, covering every meal and snack of the day. Nappies and wipes until preschool, and sun cream. All the enrichment and local activities we run. Nothing to pack, nothing to add.

Hours only is your childcare hours. You bring everything your child needs for the day: their food, their nappies, their wipes, their sun cream.

Inclusive adds £9 a day in the baby and toddler rooms and £7 a day in preschool. It is always your choice and never affects a funded place.

The rules we follow

These are the government’s rules on funded places. We print them in full.

  1. Government funding covers eligible funded childcare hours only. It does not cover meals, consumables or additional hours beyond the entitlement.
  2. The food charge is non-mandatory and is not a condition of accessing a funded place.
  3. The purchase of additional hours, is non-mandatory and is not a condition of accessing a funded place.
  4. Funded childcare is offered in 10-hour funded sessions.
  5. Additional hours outside the funded session are charged at the applicable hourly rate in accordance with the Parent Terms and Conditions.
  6. Every invoice itemises separately: funded entitlement hours; additional paid hours; food charges; non-food consumables; activities charges.
  7. Fees cover the 50 weeks the setting is open. No charge for bank holidays or the Christmas closure.
  8. The registration fee is held as a refundable deposit, returned in full when the child leaves provided the account is settled and notice given. It is never a condition of accessing a funded place.
